The pixels are just larger on the 10" devices (lower PPI, pixels per inch), so the 8" devices look crisper but the 10" devices allow working with slightly better precision, as it's like working with a 25% zoom-in with larger work area vs the 8". The thing there though is that, whether 8" or 10", it's still the same number of pixels.

(It was between that and the RM1 for a temp sub-$300 solution, but the bullies here left a bad taste, honestly.) The Nova Pro has reinforced to me that 8" is still the perfect reading size (from ownership of iPad vs iPad Mini), but writing would benefit from the extra 2", just from the standpoint of seemingly usable writing space. If you have specific questions, I can answer from the perspective of having messed around with that for a couple of weeks. The Nova Pro is the version prior to the Nova 2 and came out last year (March 2019) and it is exactly the same size as my iPad Mini. Meanwhile, I found a deal on a like-new Nova Pro to use in the interim and get my feet wet. You might want to also post to r/ereaderĪnyway I am still looking at eInk devices, particularly in the 10" sizes. The answers you receive here will lean towards RM, and the posts that aren't glowing about RM tend to get downvoted and therefore sometimes hidden. Something to be noted is that this is quite a bit like a fan-site (which is typical of Reddit), and I think some RM employees might also be lurking here.

I was in your place a little while ago, looking at devices and doing research in different places, including here.
